Somehow, because I'm so outnumbered by cowen friends, I seem to end up doing very non-Wiccan things on my holidays. For Samhain I went to a Halloween party with a friend of mine who is terrified of witches (I'm hoping that by spending Samhain with her enough years in a row she won't freak when I tell her I'm Wiccan). On Yule I did charity work for the Salvation Army with a friend of mine. On Friday I went to see Nunsense at a Catholic school where a Catholic friend of mine works, because her boyfriend was feeling poorly and backed out on her. I even won a "Hail Mary" prayer card for answering a question during the show.

And I was the only person in the audience who didn't raise their hand when one of the characters asked how many people there were Catholic. But I did do some candle work when I got home and left a bunch of candles on my breakfast bar (the closest thing I have to a mantle) burning until after sunrise on Saturday. I will NOT be drawn away from celebrating Ostara next month. I simply REFUSE! :-)

Had a WONDERFUL Imbolc! A local group that I belong to (no we're not a coven) got together for Imbolc Dinner and then met at one of the members' house for a very lovely candle-lit ceremony. Very spiritual and powerful. And on top of that, one of the members creates the most beautiful works of art using leaves! I have a lovely leaf bird to add to my altar artwork! :: big smile :: Blessed Imbolc to you and to everyone!

Look up Brisbane ppls, 29C, bloody beautiful.
I spent a fortnight preparing a Willow wand, Lammas night was the dedication and final touches.

It was fantastic. We had some guest visiting us from Puerto Rico, Spain US and UK (also Wiccans), and they made it very special. In fact, we learned much from each other's traditions.
