The realization that if I didn't do something with my life, that no one else was going to do it for me, was what changed my life and my thinking. There would always be challenges, but I realized that there was nothing out there that couldn't be overcome. That anything that I experienced WAS bearable, otherwise I wouldn't be there to bear it.

It helped me to accept the challenges in my life in a way that I'd never been able to accept them before.

My father's death. I miss him, but he helped me to see that death is nothing to fear unless you have not made the most of your life. I watched him struggle so hard to survive, because he had not started to do what mattered in life until after he found out he was dieing. This has taught me that worrying about what other people think is a useless waste of one's life, because when I'm dead, is it really going to matter that I didn't mow my grass as much as the neighbors. In fact, I think I'll just go and roll in that grass and maybe plant a gigantic artichoke plant right in the middle of the lawn for all to see. I love artichokes, and life is just way too short to worry about the fact that artichoke plants are ugly. What really matters is that butterflies love them, they're very tasty, and I have ALWAYS want to grow some of my own. And that's what I'm going to do!

I saw the book Living, Loving and Learning by Leo Buscaglia... This started my exploration to the greatest thing in life... LIVING!!! LOVING!!! LEARNING!!! It never stopped until now...

We think much less than what we know...
We know much less than what we love...
We love much less than what there is...
To this precise extent we are much less than what we can be...
