Scold's Bridles were used extensively to teach women not to speak out of turn, to not gossip and, in the case of workhouse inmates, to not speak to other inmates. However, I have been unable to find any cases where it was used on a man. I know that women have a tendenacy to talk a lot more than men, and gossip is usually associated with women much more than men, but surely there has been at least one man in history that had a problem with jabbering too much...

Marvelissa - Yes, you are right. There are men who use their words for gossip more than just good. Although I appreciate your invitation to join you in a joint venture, I must decline. I do not believe there are enough men that admit they gossip to make the venture profitable. It reminds me of the initial problems the condomn maker (Trojan) had. When they first started selling condomns, Trojan produced condomns in four sizes: small, medium, large and extra large.
