Because not all questions are scientific (provable by repeatable experiment) or mathimatical in their nature. Some are opinion or philosophical. So sometimes that is what you get. Though I will admit the mathimatical and philosophical do have common foundation. That is: LOGIC. Because all mathimatics and correct philosophy have the same starting point. That is: A cannot be A and non-A in the same way and at the same time. This is not only the foundation of mathimatics, but also, of ALL clear thinking. Hope that helps. huh??? maybe for some but not everyone takes the high ground. if ever ive met someone in need of a lecture, its a liberal who thinks tax and spend can help our economy in any conceivable way. trust me on this one. liberals and high ground are like ketchup and ice cream, they exist in the same arena but definitely separately.
if we dont take the time to educate and persuade as americans active in our system youll only see another period like the carter seventies with rampant inflation and unfunded mandates...tax and spend doesnt work and we need more than one or two high ground lectures to left wingers to end it.

Most questions are asking for an opinion, not facts or figures. I would go to an encyclopea or dictionary if I were seeking fact. Even your question is asking for opinion, i don't know how it could be answered with facts or figures.

If you want facts and figures try Yahoo or Google and not Yahoo Answers. The only problem I can see, is that you have to be able to extract key-words from your question and spell them correctly to get your facts and figures from the above mentioned sites.

I'll keep it brief, then.
My theory is that getting up on a soap box on a street corner and saying your piece is no longer fashionable. Places like this give people somewhere to air their opinions.
Whether or not they're welcome.

Sorry. That's just a theory, isn't it?
And you wanted facts.
I'll take myself outside, and beat myself up for being such a terrible timewaster, shall I?

To offer evidence in mitigation, the figure 8, and the fact that there is a place in Norfolk (UK) called Great Snoring.
He's a good boy, really, please go easy on him...

What is the use of facts and figures without morality?
One billion immoral millionaires in one thousand planets cannot be compared to one godly soul.

depends on the question.
If someone asks "what is 51 cm's in inches", then you can give a factual answer.
If someone asks "All right, ATHEIST DEARIES . . .? Tell me, why don't you believe in God." then they are seeking an opinion (even if they are going to ignore anything that goes outside their comfort zone....but thats a different issue)
