Geological, language are the basis of the formation of states. Central administration will be doing this.

Basically language, dialects & culture. Bordering District Collectors are responsible. Boundaries drawn by committee, when Shri Sardar Patel was heading the Home Ministry.

Indian states were divided on linguistic basis. People speaking the same language were brought under one territory. Now the fight is going on for subdivision.

They were all princely states put together by power sharing agreements. The barriers always existed.
