Anyone know of any good fermentation experiments that you could do to find the rate of fermentation?

Basically, take some yeast, water, glucose, and some bags. Put everything in, and seal the bags and let the yeast ferment. You can find waht affects the rate of fermentation by limiting what you put in each bag.

We did one with four flasks, some glucose and bakers' yeast. Each flask had different amounts of glucose in it... along with a control flask. Then we measured the temperature of the four flasks over a period of time to see how fast each flask was fermenting. This experiment showed us what conditions could influence the rate of fermentation. I'm sure the basic experiment could be tweaked to suit your purposes though.
