I want my council to provide recycling facilities to the residents of our street, I contacted them before xmas to see when we would be getting our blue bins. I was told that we "may" be part of a pilot scheme but they couldnt tell me for sure.I feel that the government is in the news all the time discussing environmental issues, so why doesnt everyone get the chance to do their bit??!!!!how do i pressure my local council of south lanarkshire in Glasgow, to get their *** in gear?I pay council tax and work, so i should be entitled, shouldnt I?

For awhile there I thought you were referring to someplace in America until I got down to "south lanarkshire in Glasgow" [sic].

Keep pressuring them on your good faith for the environment. But don't know really as British local government sensibilities are different then American's city governments.
