different reasons...some are valid...others aren't.
1) they might be jealous because you're spending too much time with him
2) there could always be the chance that he's bi or something might happen some random "drunken" night
3) he's just a homophobe plain and simple
4) he doesn't feel comfortable around this particular individual...but not gays in general

I wouldn't have a problem with number 1...number 2 would kind of worry me...hey, anything can happen on any given night...I'm not 3...and

4 would only matter if he was a complete flamer who was the type that intentionally tried to make me uncomfortable. This would be my biggest beef. I've been around those "types" before. They just want to get a rise out of people. That or they think it is completely socially acceptable (which it isn't) to talk about their detailed sex lives in front of everyone. Not in a private conversation but everyone as in everyone nearby within earshot. That's considered rude for straight people unless with close friends and that should be considered rude for gays as well. Know your audience and respect that audience. If they're tolerant, then go ahead. If not, then not.

Acceptance of a lifestyle is one thing. Tolerance is one thing. But acceptance of saying anything and doing anything or being rude is quite another. People should be free to choose their own threshold limits of tolerance when it comes to this aspect. And most straight guys aren't going to be comfortable with the Bobby Trendy types of gay guys.

I don't nec. always have a problem with the Bobby Trendy types, but I'm not as conservative as a lot of guys I know. There are a lot of 'average joe' gay guys who get a bad name because the more "flamboyant" gays stereotype the rest of the group.

Coming from another gay guy who admits to having done this. We don't mean anything by it - it is honestly playing around. Now obviously if you have ill will towards it when you see it, you have the right to speak your mind and say "I would like you to stop doing that". But there's no need to feel threatened when a gay guy squeezes his hag's boobs. And saying I love you over the phone is just that - a friendship love......it's how a lot of us communicate. You may think that when he looks at you when he does it, it's him trying to make you jealous? Of what? You already take her home every night don't you? He just wants to make sure you're not gonna lunge at him with some blunt object, lol. If it bothers you so much tho, it's your responsibility to stand up and say "enough is enough".

Even if they are not homophobic gay guys make some straight guys nervous. They just have no way to relate to the life style and fear the unknown. They cant imagine why they dont want a woman.

It could be because as a guy, we know that guys a liers and there could be a slight chance that he is really Bi or that he might want to go Bi or straight just for u! Long shot I know but its how the minds work.

Because they know a bunch of their dumb friends who act gay to get with the ladies, giving actual gay men a bad name.

they are jealous even if they know their is no chance with that boy, cos he cant like you. Maybe he thinks you can fall for him that can be possible also. But its a boy and its close to you really close that might be the gross point which makes him "jealous"
