Then why do you think women need to menstruate in the first place?
Could not they have done without menstruation?
Our primitive female ancestors (if you believe in evolution) did menstruate. Because they did so (as a consequence of this biological rendition) they (as in the human race) were able to achieve some "milestone"...what is that precisely?

Could someone say what could have happened if there was no such thing such as menstruation.

The biological reason can be given and cyclicity of ovarian hormones can be cited to explain this phenomenon.
Each month ovary releases an ovum(unfertilised egg) and hopes this would be fertilised and implanted in the uterus. In anticipation the oestrogen-progesterone hormones from the ovary stimulate the uterine wall and make it vascular so that enough blood may flow to provide nutrition to the developing embryo therein. When this does not happen, that is, when embryo is not there to be nourished, then the whole exercise of preparation has to be undone. This is the reason why the uterine wall contracts and the blood capillaries are broken, and blood is oozed out as menstrual blood. But ovary is hopeful and begins to prepare another ovum which will be released in the next month. For this, it makes another preparation to develop the uterus. This cycle goes on till conception has taken place. In this case, the menstrual cycle stops.
Imagine you made a lot of preparations for your guest and incidentally he/she did not arrive. Then you would remove all those welcome arches. You might do the preparation against if the guest is due again.

At birth the ovaries contain thousands of immature eggs.after the onset of puberty, one egg matures every 28 days and is released in the oviduct.this is called ovulation and is a part of menstrual cycle.during the cycle the uterus prepares itself for the implantation of an fertilised egg.it is controlled by hormones secreted by the pituitary gland and the ovaries.in other words if no embryo is planted, the blood lining of the uterus breaks down and passes out of vagina.this is menstruating.
If there was no thing as menstruation then the female may lose most of her energy in preparing for ovulatio ,thus it is a back up system.!!!
Females experience menstrual cycle because it thier body where the fertilizaton takes place, and thus,it is the fact that they only can menstruate. It is a natural contraceptive way in the women just to stop fertilization.
The cause for your disatifaction of the answers is that you are asking something which cannot be explained why do only females expireience menstruation.?it is because they are made in that way ?sometimes you have to accept things as they are, understand!!!

Well basically men are hard and strong physically , the women are soft and strong physically , so they are enthrusted the task of bearing the child, and so the female is made fertile at a particular stage where she is fully prepared to go ahead of the task, physically first and then mental condition follows , here the menstrual cycle shows that a female is a fully grown female she is ready to bear the progeny and proves that she is healthy and also shows that she needs the support of a male constantly atleast for that emotional bond between them even after the child is born only then this adds a lot of responsbility to parents and this is a condition quiet normal. Nowadays we know everything and it also has turned annoying to some extent when not in usage.

Menstrual cycle, a part of the reproductive system of females facilitates the system to be functional in phases. It is found only in Primata order of class mammalia of phylum chordata. It is itself an evolution of a complex and more precise reproductive system. Though a similar estrus cycle is found in cows, buffaloes, etc. from which it might have been evolved.
Much lower animals like bacterias divide continually (reproduce) by asexual methods, Some animals can reproduce only in a particular breeding season, since they do not have a developed brain, they cannot regulate their reproduction will precisely. If they might have provided the whole year fertility, they might have breeded continually.
Primates including humans, thought have a well developed brain and they can regulate their reproductive ability by will. That's why they have evolved a menstrual cycle, in which the reproductive system of females pruduces ovum after certain laps and facilitates a female to remain reproductive throghout the year in laps. If the female do not conceive, then the endometrium lining of ovary is passed out of the vagina along with some blood. this is what we call mestrual discharge.

It's not menstration so no. When we bleed (and when apes bleed) the lining of the uterus is being released which is the cramping. and it's a time when you won't be getting pregnant because the egg can't implant in a lining that's being sloughed off. When DOGS bleed it's a pheromone spreader telling males they're in heat, it's to GET them pregnant. Their uterus is not shedding the lining, the blood is to spread the pheromones of their heat cycle around the environment.

You have to know that every month a woman produces an egg. This egg will wait for any sperm to fertilize it.. During the waiting time, progesterone levels rise and help prepare the uterine lining for pregnancy. If the egg is not fertilized, the thickened lining of the uterus is shed during the menstrual period.

Menstrual cycle is important because the extra blood has to be removed from women's body while in the process of their inner process which is important for giving a birth. You know the inner body process or you can say the inner part(which is neccessary to concieve) is developing from the age of 3 or 4 yrs.

because each month an egg is rolled into position to be fertized
for the procreation of a family
if the egg is not chosen and misses the sprem - the body has to
dispose of the egg and all the support structures to "scrub" the
mission for that month
I guess cleanliness and good health would be the reason

the feminine reproductive cells are not produced the same way as males' ones
a little girl is born with 4 millions ovuls
at puberty she has 400 000 ovuls, and they are all stopped in a phase of the division, prophase of meiosis
and each month a new cell if fertilized passes over that phase
if not, the ovul is useless and it is eliminated

because they give birth to young ones. if the blood is not pure then the baby she gives birth is unhealthy.
and another reason is, when this menstrual cycle starts a female body starts producing sex cells
