Neither, as a group, is smarter than the other.

Everyone has their own individual intelligence based on a whole lot of things, primarily genetic, and also prenatal care.

Don't forget a few things:

Intelligence is a measure of APTITUDE to learn, not what you know. It is how you think and juggle ideas around in your head. You can have high intelligence and not seem like it...as in socially stupid, or have very little ambition. OR you can be blessed with less intelligence and do just fine.

Intelligence is not a measure of common sense...this typically is how we judge people, how they function in everyday situations.

Ignorance is not always due to lack of intelligence. Some things we just need to learn for the first time.

Intelligence does not always explain what we do. If you are looking at how people act, that is affected by a whole lot of things: Emotions, life experience, circumstances, mental illness, ADHD, etc.

Last thing is more directly related to your question, it may seem like girls have more intelligence than boys, but it probably is an indicator that for a while at least, girls are simply a little more ahead of the game. We mature faster than you do in most areas of development. So boys may not reach their milestones (walking, talking, reading, motor skills, puberty, etc, as well as critical thinking and emotional maturity) as fast as girls but the gap seems to close little by little as we age, until we are on pretty even ground. Should be said, though, that EVERYTHING including maturity is often an individual progression.

That's the bad news fellas, bless your hearts, is that when you reach adulthood you should be as capable as the girls are at most things.

The theory is that guys think about sex every 10 seconds and thus are too busy too be ultra intelligent like girls. If somebody answers, " men are more intelligent, they've invented this and that." THat's a bunch of b.s! Everybody knows their wives and their desire to get fame and money and women drove them to get that sucess.
