i have been a member for 18 months but my collegues have been members for a number of years now they want non members as staff what rights do we have

You haven't really given us enough to go by.

We don't know where you are, so we don't know what law to apply.
We don't know the rules of your club.
Are you an "ex serviceman?"
Why are you asking this in marriage and divorce?

Non-members don't really have any rights where it pertains to a service members organization. They should consider themselves fortunate they are allowed to participate in any capacity.

Although you work for the club, you still have the right to attend meetings and to vote at these meetings, unless it is about your job in particular.

You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to obtain an attorney at your own expense. Sounds to me like you don't like the changes in policies.
