It sounds more like a line / modem / filter problem, than a computer problem but this would mean trying to get BT to test the line.
Have you tried a different ADSL filter on your line?... That may help.
Why not keep the Voyager modem powered up... It may be the modem itself.
Do you know anyone else with a modem that you can swap for a while?

If the device is doing it every 10 mins this may be an issue with the power supply over heating and causing a short or drop in the power supply rating. I would think that if it is a line issue then they normally work or they dont.
you need to work out where the issue is modem or line
Try disconnecting the modem from the up link to BT. check the ip address assigned
start
go to run type "cmd" press return
type "ipconfig /all" return
this should give you a load of numbers and one of them is defaultgateway which should be something like 192.168.1.1
then type "ping (default gateway number) -t"
this sets a program running that send a ping (its a bit like a message that says are you there to the modem and the modem replies yes I am.)
if the issue is with the modem then you will see the answer die off after your usual 10 mins if it keeps going the issue is with the BT line. with this prearmed info go back to the helpdesk if you get no joy cause they dont speak very good english try emailing the problem
good luck

Id say firstly update the firmware to you router. Ask BT where to download this from.
Secondly you may have line quality problems at home - this needs to be checked by BT.
Also make sure you are using a filter on the line betweent the telephone socket and your computer and that none of the wires are too long as there is a limit.
Maybe the modem is knackered. Also ask BT to check that you are connecting up to the correct DHCP servers when you make your connection. Also ask if there are any other downloads due to your PC from BT to support your modem.
Browser switching, deleting files etc wont make any difference.
Good luck

Hi
Do you have a long extension cable running from your bt connection point to your router? / do you have bt filters on every phone point connection?/do you have a party line?/are you using an Ethernet connection/wireless connection/or plug bt line directly into router.
Any of these may cause the problem you have mentioned.
But one of the worst culprits can be an on-board pc dial up modem
that attempts to auto dial out because it has not been disabled in control panel nor bios.
So if you used modem before(or not) and have switched to broadband you will need to disable your modem card from control panel.
good luck

If you have two filters, try swapping them over, they do occasionly fail. BT can increase the 'gain' on the line if it isn't strong enough. Finally, check your internet settings so that it's not configured to 'disconnect if idle' for a set time. control panel>internet options>connections>settings> advanced then untick any settings that may be there....some pc's have a default setting to disconnect if idle for 10 or 20 minutes!
Hope that helps.

OK first check and replace mircofilters, sounds like you could have a problem it the exchange so run these tests first.
click on start, click on run, enter in cmd click OK, on next screen enter ping (hit space bar next) 127.0.0.1 and enter on keyboard this is to check your TCP/IP settings on your computer are OK you are looking for 4 packets send and 4 received. if not go back you your supplier
on same page enter tracert (hit space bar next) google.com and enter on keyboard, this is like sending a letter through the post and the different channels it goes through( on computer terms each line represents gateways and each line is called a hop) if you start to see * sign against first two lines means fault with your network or router, if * sign appears in lines 3 to 5 its fault between your Master socket, local loop, or dslam equipment at exchange
if you are unsure what to do next contract bt tech help and they will advice you
