Quesion 4) What vector subtracted from 100km N gives 200km N60E?

a) i solved the answer is 25N

b) what is the direction of the nest force acting on the mass?

Question 11) A cyclist rides along a straight road for 2.7km in a diection N23E and then 4.3km along another straight road S46E. What is he resultant displacement?

Question 12) An airplane files 420km in a northerly direction and then 350km in direction 50(degrees) west of north. how far is the airplance from its starting position and what is its direction?

Question 4. V1-V2=V
(V1h-V2h) =Vh
(V1v-V2v) =Vv
1) compute componnents
Vh=200 cos (45)=141.4 E
Vv=200 sin (45) = 141.4 N

since (100 N - V2v) =141.4 N
V2v=(100-141)=- 41.4 N or 41.4 km S

(0-V2h) =141.4 E or 141.4 km W
