I've had this problem myself, being stalked by an ex-wife and her friends. It can tend to get on one's nerves after a while. Rather than confront the people directly, i just set up a security camera outside my house, at my work, and started taking a digital camera with me everywhere i went.

After about a month, with over 200 hours of video tape, and 300 photographs i went to the police and filed a complaint. Gave the cops the names and addresses of these people and they were charged with harrassment, found guilty, fined $500 each and jailed for 90 days.

They were also ordered not to come within 1,000 feet of me, my workplace, or my home.
It was great while they were in jail but the same day they were out of jail they were arrested again at my workplace, and jailed again for 120 days, $1000 fine and 2 years probation.

I guess somepeople just get angry, and being arrested for their activity only made them more angry. one year later they haven't stopped but they are staying 1,000 feet from me. I think they do this just to get on my nerves.

When i go anywhere they are always following me but dont get close enough to violate the restraining order. The next time they violate it it's going to result in prison time.

Stalking is a childish and anger problem people that do this have. they need to seek mental health counseling to address those issues.

All the victims can do is go about their daily lives and put up with it and always be cautious.

some people have short fuses these days the most innocent comment will set them off. its not really any thing that the other person has done. but the anger the aggressor has built up inside most of the time they don't even know why they are mad or why they dislike another person all they know is they just do. my ole man stays mad about every thing. and he has no friends whats so ever and hes jealous of the friends i have. its to the point that i cant even talk to my friends, we never have company. and i cant talk to him at all. i just agree with what ever he says and never give my opinion about any thing. and still most of the time this doesn't keep the peace

Why, it was not "friendship". These people were using you for something. When you stopped it, they get an umbrage, and started stalking you, to find out things about you and try to harm you.
