what shud be the best line up to play in the world cup?
My list:
The opening pair Uthappa & Pathan
3,4,5 with experienced Dravid,Sachin and Ganguly
6,7,8 with smashers like Dhoni,Yuvraj and Bajji
and followed by the rest..
Dhoni and Ganguly can be promoted to 4,3 respectivly according to the situation ..

Good thinking.
However, I differ at only one place.
Uthappa and Ganguly to open. You need experience at the opening and Ganguly has both attack and experience to get you through the crucial first 5-8 overs. Swashbuckling uthappa is there to ensure a good start.
3,4 and 5 be Dravid, Sachin and Yuvraj.
6, 7 and 8 be Dhoni, Pathan and Bhajji.
Yeah, in both our teams, Sehwag does not feature. Thank god, at least I see in you who believes as I.

I dont think Pathan is good enough to open yet.
My suggestion:

11)Agarkar/ Harbhajan
I would have preferred Munaf but his abysmal display in the third test has prompted me to rethink my strategy.
Also if not for Uthappa i would have suggested sending in Sachin and Sourav as openers but Uthappa is the perfect kind of opener.

I would definitely like to see both the regular spinners so the choice has to be between the pace bowlers. Patel, Agrkar, and Sreesanth all are fine bowlers it's going to be interesting that who gets that spot. Patel is my least favourite on the fitness grounds. Agarkar can bat better than Sreesanth but sreesanth can be more effective bowler. I saw the match between Mumbai and Calcutta and was very impressed with Agarkar's bowling. It's a toss up between them.
