Sociology (in a fairly dumbed down version) is the study of how human beings interact with each other, and the study of subgroups in culture.

Sociology is the study of social rules and processes that bind and separate people not only as individuals, but as members of associations, groups, and institutions.
A typical textbook definition of sociology calls it the study of the social lives of humans, groups and societies. Sociology is interested in our behavior as social beings; thus the sociological field of interest ranges from the analysis of short contacts between anonymous individuals on the street to the study of global social processes.

Do u mean sociology? It is..a science which attempts the interpretive understanding of social action in order thereby to arrive at a causal explanation of its course and effects.
In “action” is included all human behaviour when and insofar as the acting individual attaches a subjective meaning to it. Action in this sense may be either overt or purely inward or subjective; it may consist of positive intervention in a situation, or of deliberately refraining from such intervention or passively acquiescing in the situation.
Action is social insofar as, by virtue of the subjective meaning attached to it by the acting individual (or individuals), it takes account of the behaviour of others and is thereby oriented in its course.

Criminology is the scientific study of crime as an individual and social phenomenon, including development of laws, causes and correlates of crime, and ways to control criminal behavior.[1] Criminological research also addresses social and governmental regulations and reactions to crime. Criminology is an interdisciplinary field in the behavioural sciences, drawing especially on the research of sociologists and psychologists, as well as on writings in law. In 1885, Italian law professor Raffaele Garofalo coined the term "criminology" (in Italian, criminologia). The French anthropologist Paul Topinard used it for the first time in French (criminologie) around the same time.

Seriously, is it that hard to look it up in the dictionary. Or even Google it? Wikipedia.org is a good quick reference as well.
The previous two respondents gave very concise answers. But, you could of had your answer in seconds instead of in hours.
