can some one explain to me where the youth of today get there expressions from? listening to young boys on the bus the other morning talking about johnnie bags!!!!! i was left rather puzzled as to were condoms get that nick name. so if anyone out there can explain to me why then that'd be great x

Johnnie Bags is an older term...alot of people call the male member a Johnson....jesus do we have to explain everything to you????

Becauseeeeeee......they just are!!!
Language is always changing and developing, and the meaning of some words cannot be explained, it is the youth of today who decide the names of such items such as condoms.
You could ask the question...why is a computer called a computer? Well why is a jonny bag called a jonny bag? Its mysterious, and its an answer that will always be unanswered.
Abreviated words such as jonny bag could have started off from an individual saying it or refering to a person.

Back in the 70s when I was first becoming aware of such things, we called condoms Johnnies - so it's not such a new expression after all.
