What happened to Brooke English?

She's still around they just haven't had a storyline for her lately....I think the late time i saw her on there was after DIxie came back and when she was helping Jackson go though everything when Erica started flirting with Jeff.

Emmy Award Winning Actress Julia Barr to Leave All My Children
New York, NY, October 30, 2006 -- After playing Brooke English on ABC's All My Children for the past 30 years, actress Julia Barr is leaving the daytime drama when her contract ends in December. The actress was offered "recurring" status rather than a contract, and Barr has declined the offer.
Regarding her time with All My Children Barr said, "It has been a wonderful job for me on every level, and a great ensemble of actors with whom I had the pleasure to work. I am so proud to have been a part of a show that was once a television icon. I want the fans to know how much I truly appreciate all of their love, support, loyalty and enthusiasm over the years."
As for professional plans following her departure Barr adds, "There are a few things I am considering and a whole new chapter ahead, which I am looking forward to."
Barr's work on All My Children garnered her eight Emmy Award nominations (1980, 1981, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1998, 2001), and she won the trophy in 1990 and 1998 for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

Actually, according to Soap Opera Digest, her character was quietly written out of the show about two months ago. The actress who play Brooke (I can't think of her name right now) said that she was disappointed that the writers didn't give Brooke a proper farewell. She was a major character for so long and she felt that they could have given the fans a heads up about Brooke being written out. A representative for the show says that they simply ran out of things for Brooke to do. I just remembered her name : Julia Barr!

the stupid powers that be that just had dixie killed did not renew Julia barr's contract. she is not coming back. I do not watch amc anymore because the last few years of the show suck!

All I know she left the show and I do not know the reason why. All I know something must of happen because dixie stood up for her and got fired. herself.

She is off of the show. They didn't even give her a send off. She just slipped out of the show.
