It's normal for out body temp to rise at some points in the sleep cycle and to sweat.
If you thing you are sweating excessively, there are a couple of medical conditions you may want to be checked for. Hyperthyroidism and tuberculosis can both cause night sweats (not just regular sweating, but your pyjamas/sheets are wet too). Chances are you are just fine, but if you think you are sweating much more than most people, then see a doc.

I too used to find I sweated a lot in my bed. But have since found
if I always ensure all radiators are cold, and if I have the window in my bedroom wide open no matter how cold it may be outside at this time of year, and I sleep under the thickest duvet I now sleep a lot better and feel a lot better when i wake up in morning. This may seem over simplistic but suggest it worth checking out.

are you a menopausal woman? (Lee can be male or female) Or do you have a fever at all, either way, it is time for a check up at the doc's, and don't forget to tell them about the nocturnal sweats and any other symptoms you may think unimportant but they may need to know...am sure it can be sorted quickly
Good luck!

Maybe you forget to turn the heater off...
Or you may be having nightmares and getting scared and nervous during your sleep that you don't remember when you wake up and all you see is the sweat.
