I certainly hope not. There's been too much war already.

The USA does not wish to have a war with Iran. It would be horrible; however, you have a president who is 100% insane and he will see to it that Iran does not live in peace but that the country will be in turmoil and that every Iranian will be hurt. If the USA doe not strike Iran then Israel surely will. Wouldn't you if you were threatened to be blown off the face of the earth by a significant power? Iran has been supplying arms to Hezbollah and other terrorist groups including those in Iraq. Iran has taken a definite stand against the USA and it would be tragic if war broke out between our two nations. More people dying....for what? Because there is another madman like Hitler in power?

It seems highly unlikely. The U.S. government is hurting for money as it is, and we certainly don't have the troop strength to mount a ground campaign. Besides, I think that behind the scenes a lot of our politicians realize your current president doesn't represent a majority of Iranians and are just waiting for you to make a change at the top.
By the way, maybe if more responders were a bit more polite in asking an international questioner for additional information we might not seem so much like the stereotypical "ugly American."

A very difficult question particularly now that I loaned my crystal ball to the Bush Administration as theirs accidentally broke last November.
Sadly, the repeated denials from the government can only mean one thing: We are in the process of creating a "good" reason to attack Iran. And some sort of conflict will emerge within the next two years. I will bet my last hard earned dollar on it. You see you have (Iran) something that we want and we are militarily strong. So if you do not give it to us (to our companies to sell around the world) as you did when that wonderful tyrant the Shah was in power, then we will come and get it. That's what is meant by the phrase "our interests" and might is how we "protect" them. So brace yourself and good luck.

It depends if Iranians can mind their own business and stay out of Iraq! IF they are in the mood to blow up people then can keep it right in Iran!

I am very sorry that you have to ask this question. Iran is a beautiful country. So was Iraq. So was Afganistan. What we are seeing here is Colonialism at its worst. George W. Bush is wanting to turn the entire Middle East to rubble, and he is doing a great job. Hopefully the Democrats will do something to stop him and Cheney and their clan.

Maybe. Some Americans don't think Iran has the right to freedom of speech or the right to bear arms. They want a never ending war.
I hope and pray for peace.

If your country continues on the same path as it is,then the stakes are raised. Iran also has to worry about Israels actions.
