I've been taught something in school before, and later been told its not true. This makes me seriously question anything I am told anytime. Is science the only way to have proof? Besides witnessing something with your own eyes, ofcourse.

If you feel that information may be incorrect then you need to independently verify it.

In fact it is a good idea to learn some independent research skills so you can learn what information sources are more accurate than others.

No, especially when science, take math for instance, knows that witnessing something with your own eyes is the only explanation of proof. Science dabbles in theory more often than it cares to admit especially when greed comes into play.

Seek out accounts from sources with different agendas and the truth lies in the middle.
