I listen to Rage Against the Machine, but that doesn't mean that I would start rebelling against the government. I believe that our opinions are greatly affected by the things we learn in our lives more than music does. I've heard that Marilyn Manson is negatively influencing young children nowadays, but I doubt it; I think that those so-called "negatively influenced" kids already had the negative opinions about the world, and Marilyn Manson -- nevermind. I doubt that the music influences our opinions and world view. Is this for homeworkd assignment?

No. Art imitates life. People discuss/sing about things in their life, real or imagined.
I listen to death metal, doom metal and black metal. Scandinavian bands, mostly. However, I'm actually a very happy person and very welcoming to strangers. Hospitality IS one of the Nine Noble Virtues of Asatru, after all. You can't walk into my house without being fed and sheltered and well cared for. You would never guess that if you heard my music.
You are what you choose to make of yourself. Music has nothing to do with it.

Ehhhh no not really. I listen to alot of Bob Marley, he sings about frick all and getting high... how does this affect my global opinion on the world??

music and tv and all artistic expression seem to influence the mind unless! a person has grown in maturity above the influence and can discern or know by intelligence that they can choose to reject or accept what they are being programmed to do.
However, those that have not maturity or esperience to Know the difference are suseptible to all forms of mind control and deceit.
