Yes, if you're not in the least attracted to him and nor is he to you. But you get along, and you have fun together. My sister's best friend is a guy. They've been friends for years (attended same uni and uni course) and talk to each other every couple of days. I think it's easier to be (best) friends with a man if you have a common interest, e.g. movie buddy or video game buddy or [insert] buddy. It certainly is for me.

I do think that a man can be a womens best friend. I mean men will always be men. But if your not his type and other way around I dont see why Not. My best friend and I were once lovers but noticed that it was just a sexuall thing and now we have been best of friends and can talk about anything at anytime. I get along with men better then women my self As for I am a women But to eaches own I might say. I think many women have to many personal problems sometimes and I have my own. Men seem to have other topics to talk about and it dont bore me.

My best friend is a guy, and i'm a girl. We have different interests but we share the same sense of humor, cares about each other heaps and most important of all, have high respects for each other.

yes, they can be a girl's best friend. although there would be times when we would feel insecure telling them some "girl secrets" because.. they would NEVER understand, anyway. but when you are really close to that guy, yeah, i guess you can tell him those things already. so'm guessing having a girl best friend would be so much better. but, hey, you CAN also make friends with the opposite sex, you know. =)

Yes they can. But...and there always is one...if you guys get too close...it may lead to something more than friendship on either one of your side. It's a risk we sometime have to take. Being a good friend..may or may not lead to something more. Good luck.

of course they can... they can also be the best friend you can never imagine.. based on experience, for me men are really loyal when it comes to friendship.. they never pretend.. people are unique so I guess it's a blessing if you find a true friend in men or women just like me..

i'm a Muslim and that i choose womens with headscarf (Hijab). and one element that Islam has stated womens to do Hijab and there's a reason for this. No order Of Allah is with out reason. Islam says to womens to apply Hijab to gaurd their Modesty. And in case you utilize headscarf, you will discover extra understand and love. and that's mandatory for muslim womens to apply headscarf.
