I really depends.

Let me give you some detail

Schools look at your:
1)Statement of Purpose(SOP)
2)Recommendation letters
If you have a good SOP and recommendation letters, admission officers might overlook your GRE to some extent.

3)Undergraduate GPA
If you have low GPA, you should score higher on the GRE.

4)CV or Portfolio (if required)
Some fields of study such as architecture might be impressed by your portfolio. This may weigh more than GRE scores.
The Sciences are interested in publications. If you have published decent papers, you don't have to score that high on the GRE.

6)Nationality
If you're not in the USA, lower GRE scores are expected to be seen.

I would say verbal 400, math 650, and writing 4.0 minimum if you have strength in other areas above.

My sister got accepted by the architecture department at Harvard and she scored verbal 400, math 710, writing 5.5. She had a good SOP, strong recommendations, and a wonderful portfolio.

My GPA was only 3.4 (almost the minimum requirement) so I had to try to score high on the GRE. Verbal 620, math 800, writing 4.5 got me into Yale's computer science department.

Just make everything else look good and the minimum scores I told you would probably do.

Good luck.

The importance of your GRE scores varies from graduate school to graduate school and from field to field. State schools will often have minimum GRE score requirements. More competitive programs will often put more value on the GRE score. Certain technical majors, such as Engineering, also tend to put more value on the GRE.

Some graduate schools will not include a section and only require two sections, meaning a score potential from 400 to 1600. Technical graduate programs may require high Quantitative scores. Psychology programs and those that emphasize reasoning skills often have minimum Analytical scores.

Graduate Program---------Quant---Verbal
Cal Tech Engineering------767
Iowa State Engineering----765
Columbia U. Education----628------564
Lehigh U. Education--------560------526

countless different cautioned people and that i spoke back this question countless cases in the final week or so, so a rapid seek on "GRE" might serve you nicely. As on your different questions: the issue exams are no longer easier. they're in all probability harder, and a minimum of distinctive. They attempt real understanding extra suitable than attempt-taking potential, and require a working understanding of all components of the sphere. you in basic terms take the issue attempt this is needed on your application--which i assume is a few form of "technology". i might propose you against preserving the impact that technology is the only degree of mind. You seem to think of that on account which you be attentive to technology, you'll be a wiz at issues like math, writing, and vocabulary simply by fact technology is in basic terms oh-so-a lot harder. it relatively is all an issue of non-public flair. you will in all probability do very poorly on the GRE in case you think of it relatively is below you or "stupid". it relatively is an unforgiving attempt. And the issue attempt, even in technology, will in all probability be a humbling journey for you as nicely.
