I think having prostitution illigal causes more problems than if tries to solve.
First, the women have no protection or legal channells..having to resort to be sneaky in order to avoid the cops.
-They are at constant physical and verbal abuse by pimps.
-If we legalized prostitution, we would have them off our streets and away from schools, where they can contaminate the enviroment with say....crack, which can be picked up by a kid....and instead, put them in a 'bordello' locked by a gate.
-desease....it is statistically proven, that prostitutes spread desease when illigal. When legalized nowadays, the facilities can supply the appropriate doctors to test them constantly for std's, as is done legally in nevada.
-legalizing prostitution decreases sexual crime rates significantly, as well as assaults and sexual harassment situations.
-makes it less likely for indecent exposure to young children in say, parking lots.
-Finnally, legalizing allows for clean enviroments,

preventing these animals from making these women be in deplorable conditions.
I beleive that if someone worked hard for 60 bucks, they should be able to spend it on a ****. The other aspect, is that people think its 'amoral' to do this. But when you really think about it, we are all whores. We all bust our butts day and day out to make our money. We put in our time, effort and sweat, (all our body), for that money.
Third, men are the ones that take the initiative and pay for women anyway. Boyfriends or otherwise...and if you think its a 'degradement' to the women, then you are thinking of the women in terms of a material object...
If you stop looking at the prostitute as an object, but rather, simply as another human being, a women, who needs money....then why not help her out? Especially if she can satisfy a strong urge of yours, found all too common to all men as well?
The women can reject you if your inept or mean...that's their privilage as well..just like a therapist.

it was their decision to do this kind of work...and quite frankly, the women that do this, will do it anyway.
Maybe its the fear by women that their men will have a good time behind their backs...or that women would look down upon it so their husbands quickly comply and that's why it is placed as illigal.
But there is really absolutely no logical reason, why prostitution should not be legalized.

mind you, most countries outside of the US allow 'young ladies who need money' do their bussiness...they say they don't allow 'prostitution' which is true...but they don't crack down on places that simply there are women that choose their customers...which is viewed in other cultures is quite different..
Mainly its unacceptable for some women, hence the italian saying 'as long as momma don't know, were good papito"....
so no, unlike the US impression. Other countries do allow what you would refer to as 'prostitution'....just not as dirty as degrading as the street prostitution in the US....or the sleazy dating prostitution scene in the states.
Its quite normal to go somewhere, speak to a girl, she chooses the customer (maybe out of 5) and they bang like **** for a couple moneys so she can support herself...usually during vacation periods..
But no, america is like "aw, no, prostitution is amoral, that's for losers, look at my studly boyfriend here arrrr'...only to go suck a dick

behind back....or a preist sodomizing a child....
now that's perfectly ok....bravo...I guess these things really make sense somehow, I just don't seem to see it.

I heard an interesting theory once, that prostitution is envied by workers because its so easy.....just to do the act and get a good amount of bucks that we all probably worked for a day for, the prostitute earns in an hour. Also, there is the theory that its envied by women...
I don't think its a sin (2nd answerer), any more than you having sex as a single from women to women in a dating scene before marriage..now is it? so your arguement is a dead end there....because argueably...a good portion of men in the dating scene, do, in fact, pay for women's things to have sex later...only in the bordello case its less underhanded.
so they are both jsut as 'sinful' if you want to get religious about it.

i think that making prostitution illegal doesn't slove any problems. Women will still try to get away with it, only they will be punished of found out, and what does this solve? It's easy for the goverment to decide to make prostitution illegal, but then they've got to look to alternatives for the women who are out there (not because they want to be) prostituting so they can feed their children. Give these women they money they need for necissities and available centres where they can go fo help.

I debated this subject for an hour in college. Debating the pro-legalization point was extremely difficult because people can't take their eyes off the issues of morality. And I got a bunch of asinine questions like, "would they get holiday pay?" But there are issues about proper registering and getting clinical check-ups.
There are a lot people don't know...
-there's never been a recorded transmission of an STD from a worker to a john.
-they promote safe sex
-feminists and retired prostitutes speak of atrocities due to law enforcement disregarding their claims.
-the success of the "bunny ranches"
-working women being the #1 target for rapists/murderers
In the end, I only changed one person's mind on the issue. One person actually said, "What you said made a lot of sense, but I would never vote for legalizing prostitution."

I agree, it should be legalized. I also think drugs and alcohol should be legalized. Especially marijuana, shrooms, main alcohol, because it would make college students less prone to over-dose and all the killings. Stastically, the US is the highest country with alcohol related car crashes or drug related crimes. why? cuz peopel get obssessed about it ...uuuu...o ****, I can't have this, then I am going to be sneaky to see.
When if you just have them try a little marijuana, or a little alcohol...they know what it is, and they just don't overdose on it, just as you wouldn't overdose of ******* pepsi..cuz that's just ****** stupid.
And I beleive this outlook is a lot morally higher than 'puritans' because puritans sell their sons for laws so they look good, or just do underhanded crap so they look good--go into preisthood and look down upon preists marrying (which makes absolutely no sense morally) and then sodomize children...when everyone knows their just a bunch of whore nutcases and amoral.

I still think it should not be legalized, These women and men are committing a sin by doing it, which that will not change one way or another, and the same can be said abut it if it were legalized, there would always be those who would make life hell for those women, and take advantage of them in any way they can..
so I don't believe it would make any difference either way, there will always be sex on the street, free and otherwise.

No, I don't agree.
I don't agree with speaking only of women prostitutes here.
Otherwise, I very much agree with the idea that legalizing prostitution would help the persons who are forced to be prostitutes themselves protect their health and the health of others.
It shouldd be legallized in my home country as well.
Havily regulated, as suggested earlier, is a MUST.

It is easy to be a puritan, but try to take care of a child with no income. Bigger sin is to pay for sex than to try to live from it.
Yes it should be legalized. It does not matter heavy legislation or not. When someone is in trouble and deep down, don't push him (her) deeper, at least give him (her) dignity.

I agree it should be legal and HEAVILY regulated. Violations of those regulations would remain illegal, but it is important to remember that the vast majority (I hesitate to say "all" but I wouldn't be surprised if it were more correct) of prostitues are desperate, exploited, and abused women.
I dislike the concept of criminalizing being a victim.

Yes, it should be illegal, just as drugs should remain illegal.
There is a war on drugs - and it must continue if society is not to be over-run by hoodlems|
It is similar to prostitution, if that were made legal, our whole society would become a garbage dump.
Just look at Holland as an example of that|||||
No one is happy there; no one is safe there anymore|
If you want a definition of hell on earth, just go to the Netherlands| (Neither world)|

WE DO NOT NEED TO KEEP CHANGING GOD LAW FOR OUR LAWS EVEN IF IT SOUNDS GRATE.
THESE LADIES AND GENTLEMAN NEED TO KEEP BETTER CARE OF THEM SELVES. A LOT OF THEM ALREADY USE OUR TAXES TO CARE FOR THEM. I JUST HOPE THEY UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT THEY ARE GOING IS KILLING THEM BOTH PHYSICAL.& SPIRTALY. MAY THEY GET BETTER JOBS THEY CAN IF THEY WANT THEY JUST NEED TO CHANGE THEIR LIVES. YES I KNOW THIS SOUNDS EASY BUT MAKING IT LEAGEL IS NOT THE ANSWER.
