I have an Alda scooter that recommends that I use SAE#20 motor oil. I've looked all over town however, and so far, I haven't found SAE20, only SAE20-50. Is that safe to use? If not, do you have any idea where I can find SAE20 oil?

You can get sae20 at any store that sells atv's. but yes you can put sae20-50n in your moped. it is actually better for it.

The SAE number is the oil's viscosity (thickness) It can go from 5 to 90. SAE 20 is a nice liquid oil that you can use to mix with the gas.... SAE 50 is close to the consistency of honey and you don't want to even think about using that.

I recommend using no different than 20 to 30. Preferably a two stroke oil that's available in small cans anyway.

I would not, because it covers too much of a range

Inquire at your parts shop - ask if they can get you a case of #20 oil - I am sure it will be on 'the truck' and they can make a profit
selling to you at regular cost
