I had unprotected sex December 23 & January 16, took a hpt January 11th & January 23rd both neg. I always get my period 1st week of the month and didn't January, it was just light bleeding and spotting. (Read my other ?'s for more info) I have felt pregnant such as bloated, nausea, dizzy, lower abdomen pain & I'm a server & often feel short of breath & the smell of some food bothers me more then usual. I feel sick in the morning but it gets worse at night & my breasts are very sore! Its been this way for awhile so I know its not PMS plus I've never had PMS this bad. I have insurance but don't really have the money to go get a blood test done right now and I just need some POSITIVE advice. NO RUDE ANSWERS! I got my period yesterday but I'm concerned I still may be pregnant & it's not just my imagination because I've been getting asked if I'm pregnant. They stated I looked fatter, my boobs are bigger & been acting funny. If I took a hpt could me being on my period affect the result?

those are pretty much the same symptoms I had. (i am 11 weeks pregnant) My mom had her period for the first 3 months she was pregnant with me. Have a blood test done!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. Have a doctor ordered blood test and they don't cost anything if you have insurance

Yes, you should contact Pan Parenthood if you want to make sure you are pregnant or not. You seem to be pregnant and I want you to make sure. People can have period and get pregnant at the same time.The OB can tell right away because, they are professional. it's not likely that you would get your period while you're pregnant. maybe you're under a lot of stress and your hormones are outta whack. don't freak out until you know for sure. in regards to the weight gain, check your diet and exercise maybe you've been neglecting that lately. and about you acting funny, YOU THINK YOU'RE PREGNANT! no wonder you're acting funny. you should still get tested at the hospital, it'll be most accurate.

no being on your period can not effect the test. but it sounds to me that your not pregnant. maybe get this off your mind and wait for another month then if nothing happens you might just be pregnant but you have to wait til the end of march not right on the first.. and if you get your period your definitely not pregnant.. but good luck I wish you the best

my daughter had alot of that going on an it turned out to be a cyst that didnt rupture on its own.they cause some pregnancy symptoms with lower abdominal pain usually on the right or left.the bloating will cause you to be short of breath.

You can certainly be pregnant and STILL have a period! See your local planned parenthood.

i would say you sound like you're pregnant.
except that you wouldn't be getting your period.
im not an expert tho.
so i'd hold out for a blood test and make sure to clear all doubt.

go to a free clinic. if your pregnant and dont want the brat, just send him/her to me cuz i WANT to have a kid and cant. dont worry, i will take care of ur brat.
