I think a button that allows you to ignore annoying people is quite possibly the greatest invention in the history of the cosmos.

Young horses have a tendancy to get board very easily which could be the reason for her acting up when she's 'had enough'. Try to keep your schooling work as varied as possible by doing different things each day or doing things in a different order. Keep sessions short, 15 to 20mins should be more than enough for a young horse. I would get a vet out and have her back, neck and teeth checked, also a saddle fitter to ensure her saddle fits correctly. If the behaviour is recent then she could be showing signs of pain. If she is not in pain, it is possible she had a bad experience and is fearful of that. If it is just plain being naughty you need to assert your dominance. As her owner and rider you are the leader of the heard, she should looked to you for guidence amd stability. There is nothing wrong with smacking her because she is naughty, but it should never be more than one smack. If you look at horses in the wild, the alpha mare will often nip the youngsters to tell them of. This can be done in a similar fashion by giving her a quick pinch. The easiest place to do this is on her belly or her neck if you are putting on a saddle. At the same time give a sharp growling 'NO!'. Be firm but not aggressive. You don't want your mare to fear you but respect you. With regards to what you said about your mare sticking to you like glue. She should also move away from you when you ask her to, she should respect your space at all times and not enter your space unless you allow her. I would also ask an experienced friend or trainer, someone that you know well and knows you and your horse to help you out. You might find you are doing something very small that you don't know about and a second pair of eyes might help you see it. Good luck

Yeah! Actually today but no one should take this seriously or personal since sometimes I don't want my list to grow or I simply don't know the person quite enough yet! If we really have to be friends, It will happen no matter what!
