This would leave a void that would create the need for something else. This will have a hefty price tag. We need to live and learn sometimes, not learn and live always.

This is a great Q
Good luck

As technology advances, so does the need for security. Once something is in place, it's rather difficult to disentrench it. Fingerprinting is rapidly giving way to DNA testing which has proved to be a little more exact. Soon, the DNA of the world population will be in some computer bank, so the question is not should it be illegal, but how far will it go beyond DNA and retinal scanning? Let's hope that the use of biometrics stays ethical and moral. Let teachers use biometrics so that they won't have to take roll any more. The student walks in the class, and his or her retinal scans (and time of entrance!) are picked up automatically and sent to the attendance office. I feel that the use of biometrics is a necessity in today's world. Ask those who lost their loved ones in 9/11, or who suffered that day and every day since. I say if you have nothing illegal to hide, keep my family, friends, and America safe. I do not think my civil liberties are being abused. Sorry, but I felt the need to elaborate.
