There is absolutely no, repeat zilch, nix, zip, evidence for this "theory". None has ever been proposed for it. It is pure fantasy.
I am a doctor who is old enough to remember the days when autism was blamed on "cold" parenting, and schizophrenia on the type of parenting that confused children - the "refrigerator mother" theory and the "double bind" theories respectively. There is an obvious common theme in this type of pseudoscience
They have as much credibility as the "demonic possession" theory of epilepsy.
Of course, homosexuality is a normal variation of humanity, not a disease, but the same fallacies apply.

I don't think it's about the blame game or excuses. When people notice things such as a person having a dominant - my child can do no wrong mother and an emotionally or physically absent father it really has nothing to do with bigotry. Might want to look up the word bigot. People being aware of situations has nothing to do with bigotry. So basically you are calling people names.

choosing not to endorse and blocking legislation are not the same thing. Neither is publically badmouthing just "not endorsing". I am not attracted to a gay lifestyle, which is only different from the straight lifestyle in so much as the gender of the person you sleep with or are attracted to, but I would never disparage another person's peaceful lifestyle nor would I want them to be disenfranchised from rights enjoyed by all other persons in our society. You are a bigot if you think that gay people deserve less than what you are entitled to. As it is your right to be a bigot dont shy away from it. some bigots are proud of their bigotry.

I think that they like to take out-dated theories and try to apply them to modern-day thinking.
The Snout guy mentioned all those fun and crazy theories that we used to have about how the root cause of most mental illnesses had to do with parenting issues. Usually we blamed things on the mother. lol
Even though the mental health community has disproven their own former theories people still try to use them. And I agree that it's because of the fear that if homosexuality is innate instead of learned then they can't control it and keep it out of their families and communities.
I believe that the only way to get the message out there is for those who conduct the research to find more accessible ways for the average person to get the info. You can publish all you want in a medical journal, but who has subcriptions to medical journals besides doctors and people in the mental health field??

I don't have to think about it. It was discounted as a cause for homosexuality a long time ago. Not only some bigots consider this still to be true, the uninformed do.

I think that is some funny crap. I mean I'm about as gay as they come and my mother abandoned us when I was about 2 years old. And next they will say, oh it must be because his father wasn't masculine. My father is the most manly guy I know.

Why are you scared to accept that being gay might be environmental and not organic in some people?
Are you afraid that you might be responsible for your choices in life?
