I am rather fond of Rekha myself. She has the elegance and class of the great old Hollywood queens, the presence. Not only can the woman act and do all the things required of a Bollywood star, but she looks dynamite in a hat, the epitome of true class. Timeless is the word that comes to mind.
Ashe is also beautiful and talented, but she does not have the same acting skill.... yet. However, on the world stage she is a much bigger player than Rekha. Despite her fame and her beauty titles, Ash somehow comes across as the girl next door. In India her face is everywhere you look.
By the way, I truly think , generally speaking, the stars of Bollywood have to pack in more skills than those of Hollywood. Hollywood stars do not have to learn to dance, act, sing, and be as versatile as most in Bollywood. Not all,but some.
Now I ask you, questioner, who do YOU prefer, John Abraham or
Hrithik Roshan? Methinks I would never be able to decide.
I do not know why it is, but when an Indian man is handsome, he beats all others on the planet. And the same can be said for an Indian woman. No women are as beautiful, they just cannot compare with the thick hair and the lustrous brown eyes. Must be why I married an Indian man!

The answer could be nothing else than "Hema Malini". Many would say Aishwarya also. No doubt she is good looking but then just compare her to Hema. When she was young she was called the "dream girl" and now even when she has grown old she looks perfect. In her recent movies like "baghban" and "baabul", she looked really fabulous. Her beauty has not faded with time. So taking into consideration the bollywood era, she is the best actress ever.
