Young has two connotations. One childhood. Two not old.
One: Physically, 18.
Two: Physically, 40.

My grandmother was young at 97.
I was old at 8.
Then I got young again at about 17.
Now, at 53 I am feeling old again.
I am looking forward to 60 when I think I will feel young again.

Age is not a factor of being young, except your physical body. Maturity is measured by experience and by the pain and hindrances and man (or a woman) had lived through.
