I think a better question would be why are we ticklish in places that others are not, and why are we only ticklish in specific places? I think it adds humor to ones life though, it brings you back to being a kid and not caring about anything.

I think for adults it's the basic beginning of foreplay, but that's just me.....for kids I suppose it's just for laughter. It does get endorphins and adrenaline to kick in I think.....
