First use a dressing with hydrocolloid in it to aviod the scar getting worse in the first place. Wait til they are well into the final healing stage... as in maybe three months after they occured and then apply BIO OIL. Fab... decreases scarring dramitically. Used it on my nose after i fell off my bike and had a scar right between my eyes. Dab on a little at night. Also great for stretch marks too.

New scars can be greatly reduced by massage. It breaks up the scar tissue so that it does not become a hard mass, and it brings circulation to the skin so that more healing can occur.

Older scars can still benefit some form massage but peels and microdermabrasian are the most comon remedies in my circles.

Use Mederma it works wonders, my hubby use it for a while, his whole face had pretty bad acne scars, and now you can barely see them, all thanks to Mederma, not cheap either, but it is great.
