I know this must be extremely difficult and demoralizing. I don't believe God expects you to live with a person who is physically abusive. A person who is physically abusive has probably broken the marriage vows already. Really why does she stay married to you ? Sometimes a mate can be won over by good example. Is the physical abuse life threatening ? Will she go to marriage counseling with you ? This is really a question that cannot be answered over the internet. Christ does offer some positive principles for tough hard problems. (Matthew 17:21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.) These principles can be applied to any type of real life challenge. God has the power to change the minds of Kings as well as a wife. (Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart in the hands of the Lord is like the water streams, and by him it is turned in any direction at his pleasure.) Maybe God will change her mind if you approach him about it.
