You are most likely refering to an Ethernet Port (not a hub). A Hub is used to connect several ethernet devices together.

Ethernet Ports come in various types of hardware!
You can get a motherboard with one built in.
You can get an internal NIC (Network Interface Card).
You can get an external USB Network Interface adapter.

I would go for an internal PCI card.

You preferably want to get 10/100/1000 or just a 10/100 card.

Or you could opt for a wireless card, this depends on what you are connecting it to.

go to pcworld or nearest comp shop ask for a ceap network card(shouldnt pay over 8 quid) install it as directed on the packed .......piece of duff
