i don't know, and either does anybody else. i saw a documentary recently that argues he was murdered by his second in comand, whom he saw as a father, for the crown of Egypt. It's possible, as are many other possibilities. of the many theories i've heard, it makes the most sense. but unless some old documents are found telling us what happened, and not necessarily even then, we'll never know for sure.

alot of people think he was killed. he died very young (i belive he was in his teens) it was very likely that he was killed by somone who wanted his power/position. (at the time it was almost impossible to determine if somone was poisoned so if he was theres no way we could know for sure.)
