The best approach is to go slowly, make sure you know exactly what they need, and then be there for them.

There is one path that all humans 'should' take.
Once taken, it cannot be forgotten, or argued with.
Life becomes very clear, as does your 'purpose'.

It's said that to walk 'The Labyrinth' is the only true
'path' to take in life as you journey to the 'centre'
of your soul and find the 'Meaning of Life' itself.
