We've always said you need 2 days to really explore disneyland. It might be a little faster now that theres the fast passes. I'd say at least 8-10 hours. Have fun, its the best!! (The happiest place on earth even)

It really depends on what you want to do and see there. For some, it can easily be done in a day...for others, they prefer to spend 2-3 days there.

I think that if you manage your time efficiently, you should be able to see the main attractions in a day. Before you go to the park, try to map out which rides are "must-see" rides and hit those first. Go check out Disneyland.com to see a map and list of attractions.

August is a very busy and crowded time for Disneyland, so be prepared for HOT weather, long lines, and crowds of cranky people. But DON'T let that spoil your fun! Disneyland is fun no matter what, and I hope you and your son get to spend some time there and enjoy it!

Disneyland is an ALL day thing from early to very late! So if you are on time restrictions plan accordingly. Disney has two theme parks now in Anaheim, California Disney and Disneyland which are next to each other and you can get hopper passes for both as well. Good luck and Have a wonderful trip!

With the current two for 1 pass you can go to disneyland and california adventure the next day. It's fairly reasonable that both parks could take a day each, depending on what you want from an amusement park. I won't touch disneyland with a 10 foot clown pole . Though I assume your child is young. Disneyland will be a fun experience for him.

To really enjoy Disneyland and to get the most of your money (it isn't cheap!) you really need a whole day there. The rides have LONG queues (but you can get a special tocket that lets you come back an hour later and skip the queue - very good idea) and it's a pretty big place. When I went there we were there from a bit after 8am-4pm, left for dinner and a rest (quite tiring wandering around all day long!) and then went back and watched the 9pm fireworks before heading back to the hotel for the night. So really, you can spend ages there and not get sick of it!

Disneyland is an all day event! You're gonna want to see everything, and there's lotssss to see! Since you're going in the summer, it will be busier than usual! Very Importnant......get Fast Track passes for the big rides, like Splash M., Space M., Indiana Jones, etc. This will save you lots of time! Hope you have a fabulous time!!! And don't forget to watch the parades and other shows! Fantasmic is THE BEST!!!

Have Fun! :o)

If I were you I would plan to be there all day because Disneyland in the summer months is ALWAYS busy so you have to consider waiting in long lines. I don't know the age of your son so take that into consideration as well.

An entire day is best. However, I have gone during Disney's "Twilight hours." Sometimes, Disney offers discounted park tickets if you enter the park after 4pm. Prices are so high these days (about $67 for an adult with tax), that it wouldn't be worth it to spend less than a day there for that cost.

Disneyland in August! Expect very long lines, heavy crowds and long hours on your feet. The park will stay open late. Your son (and you) will get very tired. You should devote all day.

I would say all day - get there when the park opens up (not a minute after) and stay until it closes. Start in Tomorrowland, and just work your way around the park. I would suggest eating at the Blue Bayou Restaurant - it is the place where you see the people eating when you're on the Pirates of the Carribean ride - they have really good food there! (I suggest the monte cristo sandwich!!!)
