is it ok to tell you grandparents that you're straight even if you're not?? if they are really, really old, very religious and closeminded people. and even if your parents told them you're a lesbian they wouldn't believe it.

the thing is i'm not sure if my parents told them but i agree with all of you if they ever bring it up i'm gonna tell them that i just don't have time for a relationship and that i'm straight and i really don't see anything wrong with that either.

then don't tell them...they don't need to know. What good would telling them do? Make them understand--i don't think so. Make you feel better?--maybe yes, maybe no. I just don't see any point to telling them anything that they cannot possibly understand.

okay, if your parents told them and they are just being "hard headed" then i wouldnt deny it, id just not bring it up around them. Whats the sence in arguing with people who dont understand what it means to be a lesbian. Since your parents told them, they have it in there heads and thats where it can be and wash around.

Do you have to tell them anything? Can you just say you are too busy to have a relationship right now or something to that effect? It is really not their business, is it? Do they tell you about THEIR sex life? Do you even WANT to know? Well maybe don't even go there then...

No it's not wrong. You have to use good judgment in these situations, it's not a requirement that you have to come out to everyone. It sounds like it would add a lot of undue stress on your relationship with them.

I'm kinda close to my grandparents, so I couldn't lie to them like that. But, it sounds like you aren't and probably won't ever be so do what you want.
