x:y = 2/5:4
x of y is 10
If Y = 4 what fracton is x of it.
4 x fraction = 2/5( Four divides on RHS as it multiplies on LHS0
Fraction = 2/5 / 4 = 2/5x 4 = 2/20 = 1/10

1) If 6.8g is 8 % of the whole, then 6.8 divided by 8 is .85g which is 1% of the whole. Then 100% is .85g times 100 = 85g

2) If the whole is 9660ml then 1% of it is 9660ml divided by 100 which is 96.6ml. Then to get 30% you multiply this by 30 to get 2898ml.

See how you should do it - it's very simple:

1)
6.8g ----- 8%
x g -------100%

x=(6.8*100)/8
I multiplied numbers which are in one diagonal line and divided it by the number from the diagonal containing x.

so x=85g

2) x ml ------- 30%
9660 ml ------100%

x=(9660*30)/100
x=2898 ml

Good luck
