Racism is not a crime, but it should be
People from different places come to America
They have different backgrounds and have different skin
But they are in America
They should be accepted, even if their from Berlin
And yet we make fun of how they look
And call them names by their background
Because it’s a little harder for them to read a book
And we look down on them and frown
Racism is a weird thing
Sometimes we don’t even know what it is
Like Mr. King
And that dream of his
We shouldn’t judge people
At any cost
Because their still people
Just a little lost
So the next time you see someone
Being made fun of because of their color or background
Don’t keep walking and look down
Help and try to fix what has just been done
People are people
And they have feelings too
People are people
Just like you

A personal instruction in the ethics of war
'.... That Major-General standing over there,
the spritely chap with the eye-patch, see? ...
- From him you could learn some valuable lessons
about people, and war, and of humanity'
chirped the charming brigadier, in enthusiastic patter;
(but reflected) : 'mind you, you probably
won't be needing too much of the latter'.

Yes, "Incident" by Countee Cullen:
Once riding in old Baltimore,
Heart-filled, head-filled with glee,
I saw a Baltimorean
Keep looking straight at me.
Now I was eight and very small,
And he was no whit bigger,
And so I smiled, but he poked out
His tongue, and called me, "******."
I saw the whole of Baltimore
From May until December;
Of all the things that happened there
That's all that I remember.
God bless.

:"Erotic Faith"
Roosters crowed somewhere in the barnyards
Ebony lips patted in a smile answered their call
Nothing moves but the portraits on my consciousness'
Creeping close till it merges into one
Moving like Siamese engaging in sex,
pictured voices in my head
Buzz and yammer they snicker eyeing me
Take her! The voices said" take her!
Take the black woman,
as my arts magnifies her belly budge
My pen thrusting at me their brown midriff
the rhythmic swaying hips
Tempted me into an erotic faith.
as I write to encircle her hot behind
the fullness of her breast bumped my arms
Controlling my thoughts
To react to the kinsman scorn
Who said my color was erotic filth.
