the united state, but i suppose the american goverment could care less that they are going to distoy my future, i'm an american citizen married to a nice latina lady for 6 years now, or trouble was we had to be in the USA for a while because of many reasons, now that i'm hearing that she can't come back to our home for 10 years, would like to know'' if i have passed all requirments and have proven that i make enough money to support her for the past years, have an approved -I-130-document from INS is it still good after 10 years, and if i go to mexico to live in humble poverty for 10 years so i can be by her side, will at the passing of 10 years INS ask me to prove i make enough money again at that time?? i hate to leave my job i worked so hard for 20 years to get ,and to live without anything because they simply don't care, but what do you think will happen later if i let them put my life through that, will they be fair then or will they ask me to re-apply for my wife, i'm 47 now

We tryed to get emergency help from the american consult in mexico, and they would not help at all, even found my problem funny,in the USA they said we had to take her back to start the process, so we did, after returning to the states i called INS, thats when they told me she was would recive a 10 year bar for leaving, BUT THEY TOLD US TO DO THAT,,most every thing they tell you to do has big holes you can fall into, and it only makes your life more problematic, round and round for years until your money is all gone, thats what they give the best insruction on, is where to send your money to, and as far as my wife ever being in trouble before''- never ''GOOD AS GOLD very nice person with a big heart wish INS had real humans working for them.

another problem is at the end of ten years i must show enough income to support her, and by that time the amount set by INS will have grown to a higher amount, so if i move to mexico i don't think i will not make enough to get a visa for my wife ,so i get the shaft again, so really i think they make it this way, stop you at every cost, one last question, is it our country or is it the governments?

Love is hard. you can't predict who you will fall for, nor their situation. 10 years is a long time, but can you visit her? Can you speak to your Congressman or Senator?

Good luck.

From a guy who understands getting hit from the blindside. I think women often do not understand when they have it well off. You work, you provide, give her a home, love and affection and out of the blue she says I want a divorce. If you are not abusive or angry all the time what can she use as an excuse except " You do not pay attention and neglect me". HELLO, I'm the guy who is working here! I hate to say this and it is a high risk move, but I think you need to give her what she is asking for. The big difference is this. If she wants to go put her out. Do not let her pack, get to the bank accounts, none of that. Take her to her closet throw some clothes in a bag and to the street. Where she goes from there is her problem, you gave her what she wants. Change the locks and do not let her back until she provides some explanation and some desire to stay. There is a serious wake up call required here. The sisters can support her butt for a while and see what they have brought to her. They sound very much like Yahoo answers people who say " you deserve to be happy" and "leave him" at the drop of a hat. If you have fallen victim to the I'm not in love with you BS put her to the curb. Nothing gets your mind straight quicker than the harsh reality of wondering where you are sleeping and getting your next meal from. Move your money to a private account give her, her clothes and to the curb. Do not put up with this crap or you will come off as some wimpering mouse, not a man. If she does not want to be there put her butt out. BUT, big but, DO not let her hang around make your life more miserable than she already has. Give her EXACTLY what she asked for only accelertate the program. Do it soon. She will either stay away or come to her sences as to what she has lost. Either way you will have your answer quicker and can move forward with your own life. She is certainly being selfish you might as well be too.

I think you're leaving out a major part of this story....how did she get involved with the INS in the first place? You've worked at your job for 20 years, but "we had to be in the us for many reasons" and you've been married to her for 6 years. Something is fishy here.

If you truly love her money would not be an issue. I know that if my husband had been barred from the U.S. and I could move closer to him, I would. Poverty or not. I would live on the streets if I had to.

kill the poor and Brian, what kind of azzes are you ? just hope you will be in a situation some day and you just might be, the damned man loves his wife and wants to be with her, evidently she didn't do much bad or they would have her in prison that is the gov favorite past time, and idiots like you condone it, I am not a immigration atty, but if you want to send me more info, I might be able to assist you or at least find some one who can, or you can check and see what the A,C,L,U, will do to help you, or if you can afford it find a good immigration lawyer, but, without knowing more it is impossible to give you any other advice, good luck

Wow--a ten-year ban on her re-entering seems pretty extreme. Barring any other reasons behind it (if, for example, she had some kind of criminal record or whatever), I agree with the people telling you to please write your representatives. You might also write letters to the editor of your local paper (please go to the nearest library or community college to find someone to help you edit all those letters, to make the best impression with them). Good luck.

If she entered the US illegally, she is a criminal, nothing more. She should be treated like the criminal she is. If you facilitated this, you are nothing but a criminal as well and should also be thrown out of the country permenantly.
