Yes and No. This was the wierdest Superbowl of all time with all the turnovers and the rain. The Picks definately hurt and he did not come up big at all. We talked about it all year if he could come up big in the big game and he chocked. Given the game was what it was. Yes, he blew it when his team needed him the most. But surely if the Bears would have avioded the fumblems it would have been a completely difrrent game. So their are more fingers to point than just at Grossman.

You and your dad aren't too bright then. No he didn't throw the game. Have a little bit of class and give the Colts a little bit of credit. The Bears were just bad and the Colts were just too good for them. The Bears coaching from Lovie Smith on down was terrible. They didn't adjust to what the Colt offense was doing and the Bears offense fell right into the trap of the Colts defense. The Bears defense played Chicken Sh_t football for most of the game by staying back in a modified prevent defense. As a result they got no pressure on Manning and also could not stop the run. Manning and the colts systematically picked the Bears defense apart across the middle of the field. Everything about the Colts was better. They had the better coaching, gameplan and exection. This is coming from a Bears fan, not a Colts Fan.

I doubt he truly threw the game. You have to realize, Grossman wasn't really that great of a QB anyway. Also, defensively the Bears are great. Their offensive is questionable. They did a pretty good job of stopping Manning for most of the game. But Grossman just couldn't do it. I was hoping the Bears would win but unfortunately I didn't get my wish. Oh well, I guess we'll have one less quarterback next year (Hopefully its Favre). I do think rain was a key issue to the amount of interceptions he threw.

Oh well, I guess now its time to start cheering for the Lions and hope they finally draft something other than a wide receiver.

Why in the world would Grossman throw the game. For the fun of it. It wasnt even Grossman's fault they lost the game. I mean he didnt play fantastic, but if the Bears defense could tackle someone the Colts wouldnt have scored so many points. If Cedric Benson and Thomas Jones could hang onto the ball, then they might've actually scored more.

I believe he got lost in the moment. I've seen it happen to good boxers when they finally get a title shot, and then it all hits them when they're walking to the ring - the importance of the moment, and the desire not to mess up. They end up either freezing, or trying too hard - either one will lead to a loss. I wanted the Bears to win, but I did say that I thought the Colts had a better over-all team to win it. The Bears' defense kept them withing striking distance, but Grossman just couldn't get anything going.

I knew Bear fans were going to come out with excuses, but this one has to take the cake,Grossman not only didn't throw the game,he also couldn't throw the ball, the Bear defense couldn't hold the Colt's offense, and the Bears offense couldn't hold on to the ball, other than that the Bears were okay, bottom line, other than the Raiders, almost any team on the american conference would have beaten the Bears

Well, you and your dad need to get a tissue and dry your tears, and GET OVER IT! Grossman sucked all season long. The defense got picked apart and the rain drove both teams crazy, so don't sell you little "threw the game" conspiracy here.

Grossman is such a lousy QB he doesn't have to purposely throw the game, Just the appearance of "Bad Rex" is enough to guarantee a loss.

grossman s a crappy quaterback, but he wouldn't throw the superbowl. He's just a bad QB, that's why the bears lost.

I don't know, one half of me thinks the NFL is rigged the other half doesn't. Most likely the Colts just out played them. If anything it was bad coaching on the part of the Bears. I was hoping the Bears would win it.
