The batteries or power supply determine the maximum loudness of a speaker. If you take the battery out of whatever device the speaker is in and touch it temporarily across the speaker terminals you have just heard the maximum loudness of that speaker. The coils, resisters, capacitors and semiconductors are trying to accomplish that loudness in a way that sounds like music or voice.
Computing their values is what they teach in radio schools. There is no easy way, that could be described in this space, of conveying to you what you are asking

Oh come on! When they voted for the massive bailout 6 months ago, many of our esteemed congressmen and senators were told that if they voted against the bailout there would be marshal law and rioting in the streets. Fear mongering and speaking your mind are as American as apple pie. As far as people calling other people "terrorists" because they're voicing their opinions, that's BS. Liberals are famous for accusing conservatives of being "terrorists" when its convenient to do so in order to bully their agendas through. California's in a massive dilemma. First of all, there's 35 million people and counting living there. That's 9 percent of the entire population of the United States and the 8th largest economy in the world. They're in this pickle for numerous reasons. First and foremost, they did nothing to stem the population influx that occurred after WWII. This tied together with "social engineering" that is, attempting to fool-proof society, has led to expensive and quite frankly stupid legislation that is overly costly and makes barely a negligible difference to society as a whole. They pay for illegal immigrant healthcare, schooling and provide other services and that costs money. They tried to insure everyone in their state either indirectly through health insurance and employment laws and directly through Medi-CAL. Now they are reaping what they've sown. Worse yet, and I hate to say this, part of their problem, not a big part but a small part of it was Proposition 13. Because of that amendment, people who stay in their properties for life are paying taxes at the lowest possible rate. This means the rest of California has to make it up through higher income taxes at the state and local levels, higher sales taxes, more revenues from businesses, excise taxes, and taxes taxes taxes. Well ..... with all them taxes, they're still broke. Why? They SPENT TOO MUCH! Now the Governor wants to cut back on "essential services". Let's look at this. Just how much of those services are really "essential"? California did quite nicely without a lot of those "essential" services prior to the massive social service explosion in the 60's and 70's. So why now, California COW? Answer: Its like a garden. There's only so many carrots you can grow before they all get picked and eaten.
