It happened... he got his ring... all is right in the world. Now what happens... all those people that loved him, except true Colts fans, start hating on him because the guys that everyone likes to say he's the best QB and has never won the superbowl realize that was his allure and start to FINALLY pick apart his game because of the fact he's got one. The Colts fans are gonna finally understand what the Pats and Tom Brady have been going through... while all the while they thought that everyone was one their side & now they get to see what happens to winners... everyone turns on them. A sad truth of football.

Well one Peyton Manning is no a jerk. He is a really nice guy. And the only reason people turned on the Pats was because this year they started acting like complete *****. Belechick not shaking Mangini's hand and pushing away the cameras. The Lights Out dance after beating the Chargers. Also I dont believe there is anything wrong with Peyton Manning's "game". Considering he has 7 consecutive seasons with 4000 yards or more, and 6 seasons with 30+ touchdowns I think there is no way to pick apart his game.

Peyton Manning is not a jerk. Give an example of a time in which he was, or acted in a sassy manner in public. He always presents himself in a professional manner, is politically correct, and how can you not love a good sportsman? Ladainian Tomlinson, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, all are good guys that don't rub it in, ala Barry Sanders and the great one Walter Payton. You will never see a "TO" style blow-up from any of these guys, because they are high-class, and high-character people. Sounds to me as though Bears fans are still grumpy their team didn't bother to show up in a tailor made game for the "monsters of the midway". In the pouring monsoon, muddy field, it was the dome team that took out supposedly the "fierce" Bears defense. Briggs and Urlacher were the only guys to show up, too bad the rest of the team stayed at the hotel.

Jerk? I wonder what make you call him a jerk? Do you know him personally? Have you ever seen a public example of inappropriate behavior? What makes you think his game is going to fall apart? He has the tools and O-line to protect him. Sure free agency and trading and injuries and retiremant are cruel to everyone, but don't say someone is going to fall apart over the course of a career once they win a Super Bowl! He doesn't break the law, gives money to all sorts of charity, is an exemplary individual and you call him a JERK? I think you need to check again.

Nobody "deserves" a ring cuz they are a good player playing on a mediocre team like Manning has done in the past. People like to reward good people and he is one of them, but if he never won a ring all would still be right with the world.

I happened to meet Peyton Manning in New Orleans the summer before he went to Tennessee. He was wearing a UT cap and so I went over and struck up a conversation. I had no idea who he was, but I'm a UT alum, so I said hello. We talked football, and he told me he was going to play in Knoxville. I said I'd root for him, and asked his name. Without a trace of "don't you know who I am?" he told me. Very nice young man. I'm still rooting for him.

Well done Peyton.

I thing the league will continue to give that clown much too much adulation, and the officials will continue to give his team the benefit of the doubt on every call.
