my ipod is on a black screen and on it it has the pause sign on it how do i fix it?

OK WELL I GOT AN IPOD FOR CHRISTMAS AND WA HAS HAPPENED IS IT WAS WORKING THEN I BLACK SCREEN APPARED WIT A PAUSE SYMBOL ON IT. I NEED HELP PLEASE SEND IT

you can reboot your ipod by holding down the top Menu button on the middle of the circle button at the same time for several seconds until it begins the reboot.

Your ipod has a problem...u have a warranty right?then just send it 2 where it came from.
