Yeah , 2 pics , one for a t.d. ,a couple bobled snaps , not his fault , the centers , benson fumbled , the fumble on the kick return oh and the F'N DEFENSE that didnt do anything , rex has a good game when the run game is established that gives him the play action option , and with benson out it hurt us alot , he throws good bombs when he has time , he was rushed the whole time , not to mention they said you cant throw as hard and accurate in the rain , so bad play calling , insted of the long bomb we needed to do what the colts did to us and do short hits , we didnt , its not completely rex's fault , it like his rookie year ,and he got us to the SUPERBOWL , relax till next year and give the guy a break , and i know its not his rookie season , but it is his first full season . wait till our defense is back and Grossman fixes his mistakes , 42 is ours !!!

First off, those snaps that were fumbled were not the centers fault, they were Grossmans. And second, the play calling was fine. The reason everyone blames Grossman is because he makes poor decisions on the field. The only time he is forced to throw a deep ball is when the play called is a hail mary, which did not happen in the Superbowl. On all of those plays, including both interceptions he had other targets, he chose to throw to those receivers. even if his #1 and 2 WRs go deep he always has his hot route, which is Desmond Clark, who has great hands. That is the reason he gets the blame, it is because he is the captain of the offense, it is his responsibility to outmaneuver the colts D, and if that is not possible then it becomes his job to use his head and throw it away, not throw a stupid pass that has no chance of being a completion and a great chance to be picked off. I agree with you about the fumbles, but the rest of the blame lies squarely on Gross Man.

Yeah bad play calls were made against the Colts! If you remember correctly them having to go back and watch the plays before trying to screw the Colts out of what was awesome plays. It was a good game regardless. It wasn't totally Grossman's fault, there is more to a team than the QB. It's like people saying Manning won it for Colts, no to be honest, without Addai and Sanders tonight, it could have ended differently. Point is, the Colts had their game on and brought it and the Bears just couldn't hold them down.

Because he really didnt come through for his team. The defense played well but after being out there for 45 min due to Rex not keeping hold off the ball. They got tired and gave up big plays. He had numerous oppurtunities to make plays but couldnt. He should be very dissapointed in his play today. The colts realized Grossman couldnt throw the ball and stacked the line against T. Jones.

No one person wins or loses a Superbowl game; it was a team loss.
Having said that, it would've been far more likely that Chicago would've won if Grossman hadn't made some dumb decisions. He repeatedly threw into coverage when he shouldn't and one of his interceptions was terribly under thrown.
He shouldn't take all the blame, but professional athletes are fair game for criticism when they fail to perform at a reasonable level. The reality is that many "regular" guys and amateur athletes could've done just as well as Grossman...and they would've gladly done it for far less money, too.
Let's just hope that its not another 21 years until he and daBears make it back to the big show.

Aren't most QB's good when they have a good defense, special teams, and a supporting cast that doesn't screw up? Most QB's also can throw good bombs when they have time, after all they're paid for throwing the ball... The rain was also there when Peyton was on offense, so it's fair... I remember a certain 6th round draft pick from Michigan who led his team to a Superbowl victory in his second season, and he wasn't even a starter at the beginning of the season...

Because they need a scapegoat and he plays the most important position on the offense and he did not have a productive game. I can't wait to read Jay Marrioti's column in the Chaicago Sun Times he has been on Grossmans case all season.

I think it's in every human's attitude to blame someone when everything gets out of proportion, even in sports. And Rex isn't an exemption. Though I know he should not be blamed as his sport is a team game, the Football is also a sport where relaible QBs are the heart and soul. So if they lose, they actually put the blame on him.

I don't hate the guy or anything but I'm sorry too many ****** up plays by Rex.. could've done WAY better. Shame. If he can improve during the offseason I won't mind seeing him back. But i can't count on it....
