i'm a huge reader. a few years ago, i set out to read all the books by my favorite authors. i normally read a book a day, give or take, depending on the size of the book. but since i've real everything by all my well known authors, i find myself going to the library and checking out books i don't really enjoy. so i need some help. i've read Jayne ann Krents, Lisa Kleypas, Nora Roberts, James patterson, suzanne brockmann, stephen king, anne rice, luanne rice, and tori carrington, in addition to having read every book Harlequin Blaze has produced since the line started. so now i just wait for new books to be released. i need some new authors? any suggestions?

I would suggest Jude Deveraux's A Knight in Shining Armor and then see if you want to read more of hers. Also, Judith McNaught's Whitney My Love, Almost Heaven, A Kingdom of Dreams, Something Wonderful, Once and Always. I also suggest everything written by Eloisa James and Celeste Bradley. Julia Quinn is also an excellent writer and I think I have enjoyed everything of hers (AND I also saw her win on the game show The Weakest Link). Other good writers you may not have tried are Liz Carlyle, Joy Fielding, Lisa Kleypas, Laura Kinsale, Julianne MacLean, and Suzanne Enoch. Oh! And I can't forget one of my favorites...Amanda Quick....who is also Jayne Anne Krentz as you may already know. I hope you enjoy some of the ones I've suggested. :)

A Walk to Remember by Sparks
Julie by Catherine Marshall
A Gown of Spanish Lace by Oke
I've heard Gone With the Wind is great, but I am not planning on reading a 1,000 plus page book any time soon!
I plan on reading The Greatest White Trash Love Story Ever Told by Rhett Ellis soon. I heard it's great, despite the bizarre title.
Try authors Irene Brand, Valerie Hansen, Penelope Stokes, Ann Tatlock,Melody Carson, and Nancy Moser. Some of their stuff is romance, some isn't but they are all gifted writers.

hm, lets see, you enjoy nora roberts, anne rice, and james patterson. You may want to check out Greg Iles and Dan brown. they run more along the lines of thriller types, but always in their books is a little romance running just beneath the surface.

I'm not a big romance reader but you might like Archangel by Sharon Shinn. I read it for a fantasy group I was in. I really enjoyed it but did sort of have the feeling that I had gotten tricked into reading a romance novel. That's not a bad thing since most good stories have mystery and romance mixed up in them. They only become scifi or fantasy when you pust dragons or spaceships in them.

philippa gregory wrote a series of books set in tudor england. i thought they would be horribly dry, but they are wonderful.
start with "the queen's fool" and just see if you don't get hooked.
have a nice day!
