See, the thing about pre nuptials ( which means before the marriage) that a lot of people don't know is this...whatever you and your mate make WHILE married, is conjugal property. This means that if you both decided to buy a home after you get married, that doesn't fall under the pre nupt agreement.

This one guy I was seeing brought up the pre nupt issue within the first day. I found that kinda odd. If a young couple is just starting out and neither has any real or valuable assets in their name, then I don't think that a pre nupt is needed.

It's all basically a matter of trust. Women, always trust your gut instincts. They are 99% correct.

And would I ever sign one? I guess I'd listen to the man's story as to why he thinks that there should be one. If I feel that it's a valid reason, then I might consider. Of course, there will be clauses, one of which will be the following: If there is ever infidelity in his part, consider his pre-nupt null and void. If he opposes this, then I'd be kinda suspicious.

If women have assets to protect, they can insist on a pre-nup, too. There's no law that states only men can initiate getting one. Yes, I would sign one after having my own lawyer look over it to make sure everything's the way it's supposed to be. My husband and I looked into getting one before we were married, but after consulting a lawyer we found out that everything we wanted to put in there was already covered under the state divorce laws. So we didn't really have anything to "protect".

it ought to look the smart element to do, yet thoughts do not continuously run sensibly. perchance they're in touch that it is an admission that the marriage may fail? Pre-nups get press often times, causing confusion. i have heard women human beings communicate about them as if a Pre-nup is about restricting the money they could get in a divorce, notwithstanding it is really an settlement about what ought to easily accept if the statistically extra-likely-than-no longer-to-ensue adventure occurs. Dowry for women human beings is somewhat previous shaped. adult adult males and women human beings both might want to enter a courting with low-priced rates for his or her destiny lives jointly.

Why do most women see this as a trust issue? Yes I am a man, but I simply see it as someone, man or woman, protecting something that they have worked very hard for. And yes there are gold diggers out there and that is why you would want to protect your assests because if you are a gold digger you don't say you are. You play off like you are the best thing that ever happened to that man. The same can happen in reverse. So it isn't trust at all. Its just incase we are blinded by love.

Two words.

Britney Spears.

I bet she's glad she had one. It protects anyone who has the money(or sometimes both people). I would sign one that was fair and I would ask a man to sign one if I had anything worth protecting. With so many people who marry the person for money, I understand and sympathize with those who have them drawn up.
